Ottawa Senators welcome military families for the 20th Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation Games! 

The event allowed military families to experience the joy of hockey and feel the warmth of support from the fans and community. 

On November 2, 2023, Support Our Troops and the Ottawa Senators celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Appreciation Games with a game against the Los Angeles Kings. This year, the partnership raised over $75,000 through the game and an additional donation from the Ottawa Senators Foundation.  

The event allowed military families to experience the joy of hockey and feel the ongoing and indelible support from the team, the fans and the community.   

The partnership, said Jacqueline Belsito, President, Senators Community Foundation, “means everything to us.” She continued, “Supporting children and families is at the core of our mission and there is no one more deserving than our military families. Ensuring that the some of the challenges military families face in accessing health care, counselling and support are alleviated, we've been proud to raise awareness and funding for the important work of Support Our Troops.”
